Our studio

La Maison d’Art (pronunciation: “la mɛzɔ̃ daʁ”) Joyful Painting Studio opened its doors in January 2023 in Óbuda, within the ground-floor apartment of a more than 110-year-old family house, which sets the foundation for its cozy and extraordinary atmosphere. Founded and artistically led by painter Klára Körmendi, who herself began her journey in similar circumstances, the studio’s every painting is unique and exclusively our own creations. The painting selection is continuously updated to ensure returning guests always find something new to enjoy.

Klara tailors her service, environment, and tools to meet the highest expectations. Working with professional brushes, paints, and canvases guarantees a top-notch experience. She spares no paint, helpful instructions, or kind words. As part of her ethos, she aims to infuse therapeutic benefits into the sessions: the goal isn’t a flawless reproduction, but experiencing liberated, creative expression and releasing daily stress.

During theevents, in addition to all necessary painting supplies (including aprons to protect clothing), the ambiance is enhanced with music, quality beverages, and snacks like pastries and biscuits to make the experience more enjoyable.

The sessions cater to various skill levels, clearly marked for each event. This ensures everyone finds a program suitable for their relaxation needs. In case of children it is recommended to participate from around the age of 9; in case of younger participants the evaluation of their care-takers is fully trusted.
